Without a microchip, Ringo may have never been reunited with his owner. The incredibly sweet and snuggly 5-year-old German Shepherd found himself in Arizona Humane Society care last month after being rescued by our Animal Cruelty Investigators from a home with multiple other pets.
Upon further examination, it was discovered that Ringo was thankfully microchipped, and the phone number registered to the device was promptly contacted. It was then that Carlos, Ringo’s owner, informed us that Ringo had been stolen from him a year and a half earlier and had likely been living with his captor.
With the help of our wonderful volunteer Diane, who developed a special bond with Ringo during his stay, a reunion was facilitated. While it took Ringo a minute to recognize his dad amid all the excitement, once he did, it was all tail wags and cuddles.
