Look Before You Lock – Keep Our Kids and Pets Safe!
AHS Partners with Maricopa County Attorney’s Office and Phoenix Children’s Hospital on “Don’t Leave Me Behind” Vehicular Heatstroke Awareness Campaign
The Vehicular Heatstroke Campaign will run Tuesday, May 8 – Tuesday, August 31, 2018.
AHS is working together with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Penguin Air for the “Don’t Leave Me Behind” vehicular heatstroke awareness campaign. We are challenging everyone to keep the number of incidents of children and pets left in hot cars this summer to zero and to help spread this important safety message.
Also, as part of the 2018 partnership campaign, an updated SafeKidsAZ webpage can be found at safekidsaz.org/vehicular-heatstroke. The website is filled with information, tips and videos to help people understand the dangers of hot cars and how the tragic loss of life in these scenarios is 100% preventable. Leaving a child or pet in a vehicle is not only potentially fatal, in some circumstances it is a criminal offense.
Our community is encouraged to take part and help achieve the goal of zero incidents of children and pets left in hot cars this summer by using the hashtag #DontLeaveMeBehind and following the partners on social media for more information and safety tips throughout the campaign.
