Project Active Duty, a program that offers foster care for the pets of soldiers who have been deployed, created one more tearful reunion this past week. Army Lt. Charles Smith, surprised his dog, Peanut, who he hadn’t seen in three months, . Emotions filled the room as Peanut immediately recognized Lt. Smith and rolled on his back for a good belly scratch.
