We Found a Meatball in the Drain
Rookie EAMT™ Richie’s First Rescue was Unforgettable.
When Richie rolled on scene for his very first rescue, he raced into action to save a days-old kitten trapped in a storm drain. With help from a snake cam, Richie located the kitten more than 15 feet down the drain and used a net pull her to safety.
After administering fluids on scene, Richie rushed the kitten back to AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™ where our medical team cared for the fragile feline before transferring her to our Bottle Baby Kitten ICU. After recovering in our ICU, the kitten, now named Meatball, spent several weeks in a foster hero home before eventually finding her forever family.
Hundreds of pets just like Meatball need food, toys and medical care while they spend the holidays with us. Your support will help save animals from cruelty and suffering this holiday season. Make a lifesaving gift today to give hope to homeless and abused animals!
