AHS Says Goodbye to a Dear Friend

Rosie came to us as a victim of a hoarder almost seven years ago. Though she was an older girl when she arrived, we had the pleasure of watching her return to kittenhood as she learned to run and play in our office. The Field office quickly became Rosie’s office as she oversaw all aspects of daily life in field, offering assistance in typing and caring for any protective custody fish that stayed with us. Fearless of dogs, Rosie helped socialize the timid adults and put rambunctious puppies in their places.
We will miss Rosie terribly. She was a constant reminder of why we do this job: the happy ending, the loving eyes, the gentle head butt.
She gave us much more than we gave her.
