ABC 15: Rescuing Pets from the Heat

News Highlights:

• In the last three days alone, the Arizona Humane Society’s Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ and Animal Cruelty Investigators have been on 127 rescues and investigations.
• Of those, 91 were investigations with nearly 40 percent of those investigations being heat-related – no water, no shelter, tethered or left in car.
• EAMT™ Andy invited Mike Pelton of ABC15 for a ride along on Tuesday, July 25 to show just how critical this work is. The dogs rescued during this segment are currently under the care of AHS’ Second Chance Animal Trauma Hospital™.
