Waived Pet Adoption Fees December 5th-11th

This week, you can help us empty our floors! Beginning December 5th, all adoption fees for AHS pets will be waived thanks to the generosity of the BISSELL Pet Foundation. This special adoption event will help clear much-needed space so we can continue to be a safety net for our community’s most vulnerable pets. Adopting a dog or cat from AHS gives a pet in need the loving home it deserves and allows our Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ and Cruelty Investigators to continue bringing in even more sick, injured, and abused pets with nowhere else to turn.

Pets like Chowder (pictured), who has been in our care for almost 100 days (and counting). The nine-years-young Australian Kelpie mix was originally rescued by AHS after he was found as an injured stray in May. Once healed, Chowder was quickly adopted but unfortunately returned in September due to the other pet in the home. Those who know this adorable pup say he loves to play, get a lot of attention from his friends and is overall one of the sweetest dogs around.

More than 1,100 pets, just like Chowder, are being cared for at AHS and in the loving homes of our Foster Heroes. Adopting a pet from AHS not only gives a pet in need the home they deserve, but allows AHS Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™ and Cruelty Investigators to continue bringing in even more sick, injured and abused pets with nowhere else to turn.

Join us at both our Nina Mason Pulliam South Mountain Campus and PetSmart Scottsdale adoption locations beginning Monday, December 5th through Sunday, December 11th, to adopt a new family member for FREE (puppies, kitties, and critters included)!

Both Arizona Humane Society adoption locations will be taking part in BISSELL Pet Foundation’s special Empty the Shelters event, and all pets are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and current on all vaccinations. You’ll also receive a bag of Hill’s Science Diet food and a free follow-up veterinary exam with VCA Animal Hospitals. We offer three easy ways to adopt. Click here for more information.
