This weekend, August 25-27, the Arizona Humane Society will participate in NBCUniversal Local’s nationwide pet adoption and donation campaign, Clear the Shelters, which will be returning for its ninth consecutive year!
During the event, adoption fees will be completely waived for all pets of all ages at both our Nina Mason Pulliam South Mountain Campus and PetSmart Scottsdale location (Miller/Camelback), making it the perfect chance to stop by and meet your new best friend. You can even take a look at the numerous pets currently available for adoption at AHS ahead of time by visiting azhumane.org/adopt.
The heat this summer has been unrelenting, and we continue to face a capacity crisis. We’re hoping this weekend’s special will help free up much-needed kennel space so we can bring in many more homeless animals who need care.
Since its 2015 inception, Clear the Shelters has helped more than 860,000 pets find new homes, and we couldn’t be happier for those who came from AHS kennels. This year, Hill’s Pet Nutrition will also be returning as the lead national sponsor of the event, and representatives will be on-site to answer questions about pet nutrition and hand out giveaways to community members.
We can’t wait to see you this weekend when you come down to adopt your new family member!
