Celebrate National Train Your Dog Month With AHS!

Written by: Arizona Humane Society

Our certified trainers have years of experience working with dogs of all breeds and ages. They also use positive reinforcement, force-free techniques to create a safe and enjoyable learning environment. Whether your pup needs basic obedience training or has specific behavior challenges, our classes cater to various skill levels and address common characteristics such as leash pulling, reactivity and more.

We saw an 18% increase in owner surrenders last year, with a number of which being due to behavior concerns. Using National Train Your Dog Month as an opportunity to highlight the benefits of dog training programs could help combat this influx and keep beloved pets out of overcrowded shelters in the New Year.

If you can’t make it to a class, stay tuned for our upcoming YouTube video series where AHS experts will answer behavior questions and offer training tips and tricks. Look for our National Train Your Dog Month posts on our Facebook and Instagram pages and leave us your own training questions in the comments. With the right tools, we can keep people and pets happy!
