Ukraine’s Pets – How You Can Help

The events in Ukraine are absolutely horrific, and our hearts go out to both the pets and people impacted, including the shelter staff and volunteers, who are putting their lives on the lines to help those in need.

AHS is encouraging those who want to help to please consider one of the following organizations:

The International Fund for Animal Welfare and Humane Society International are working collaboratively with UAnimals in Ukraine to assess and prioritize the needs of shelters and clinics actively engaged in relief efforts. In doing so, they can adequately and efficiently streamline resources for those impacted.

For animal shelters, rescues, and wildlife facilities who urgently need support, they can email IFAW directly at disasterresponse@ifaw.org with information on their organization and its support needs.

We will continue to follow any new developments regarding how people can best support companion animal welfare efforts taking place in Ukraine so that those interested can directly support those efforts.
