Happy Pup Rescued Behind Fire Lines of Cedar Fire
The Arizona Humane Society’s disaster relief team remains deployed at the Cedar Fire.
AHS continues to assist in the evacuation, sheltering and care of pets who have been displaced by the fire burning just south of Show Low.
AHS is currently caring for six pets, including a happy, go-lucky Shepherd mix we’re calling Forest. Forest was rescued Saturday behind the fire lines by our Emergency Animal Medical Technicians™.
The fire is currently 40 percent contained. Firefighters are being mindful of potential flare ups and hot spots as today is expected to be the hottest and driest of the season.
